National Museum of Women in the Arts [#99]

One of the things that I like the most about living in Washington is that I'm within walking distance to world class museums. Louise Bourgeois, Lola Alvarez Bravo, Frida Kahlo and many other have their home at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (and a great place for first dates, btw). The museum is a formidable institution that brings a lot of character to the area. This former Masonic temple was added to the NRHP on February 18, 1987.

This image is part of the series 'Postcards from Washington DC' that aims to represent the contrasting life in the capital.

POSTCARDS are 5.47x4.21" printed on recycled matte paper. The postcards come in a clear sleeve and they are shipped in a paper envelope. We use First-Class Mail, unless with another item.

PRINTS are 8x10", 11x14" or 16x20". Open edition printed with professional archival inks on acid-free, 100% cotton rag for long term durability (museum-quality giclée). The prints are packaged in a protective sleeve with a sturdy backing board in a rigid kraft mailer. We care about the environment, so we ship using recycled or reused materials whenever possible.

About the artist:

Carlos Carmonamedina studied Fine Arts in Mexico and Romania. His artwork, which combines his love for travel, bicycles, food, old cameras and comics has been featured in many exhibitions around the world.

After living in Europe for 7 years, he is now settled in Washington DC, where he works as an illustrator and graphic designer.
